Y-12ers participated in the DOE Mile event. The event is a one-mile foot race/fun walk involving U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) sites across the country. It aims to promote fitness and camaraderie through friendly competition among co-workers, as well as between DOE facilities. #MyY12

Y-12 employees supported #STEM activities at Pond Gap Elementary School in Knoxville. Students participated in hands-on activities to introduce them to science in an engaging way. #MyY12 #MoreThanAJob

Educational Partnership and Mission Engineering employees visited The University of Memphis. They toured the engineering sites on campus and met with department chairs. These partnerships help strengthen CNS recruiting for the next generation of #nationalsecurity employees. #MoreThanAJob

Norwood Middle School won first place in the eighth annual “Dream it. Do it.” competition, which is sponsored by the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce and Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS). The “Dream It. Do It.” program pairs middle school students with local industries. The students produce videos describing the businesses, and then, the videos are judged to determine the winners of the competition. The goal of the program is to introduce students to careers in manufacturing and help develop the future workforce.Read more: https://lnkd.in/et9K2KPu
